A New Start
"If you hear a voice within you say, 'You cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced." — Vincent Van Gogh
Hi everyone!
It's been a long time since I've been around. Things have been mighty crazy for me the past couple of years. I graduated college, picked up jobs, photographed weddings and portraits, and basically made every effort I could to stay afloat. One of the last times I logged into DA I received a Daily Deviation, which was super awesome. You'd think that would have inspired me to keep going on here, but right around that time I entered a frustrating phase of my life, and I just didn't want to be involv
First Wedding
Hey everyone,
Just making the brief and exciting announcement that I shot my first wedding yesterday and it went quite well for a first time experience! I enjoyed it immensely. We had some interesting circumstances, such as rain and having to move the ceremony indoors, but those obstacles I think were a blessing. Here's a small glimpse into my life as of late:
I was the head photographer and featured artist for a huge university senior project that was completed this past Saturday. This project consumed much of my time the past month, and it was all on a volunte
Sorrow and Relief, a handmade book
Hello everyone!
I hope you're all having a wonderful December. It's not cold here right now, or snowy, but it still feels like that time of year!
If you watch my work regularly, then you've already noticed by now my recent series of deviations I titled "Silence". The images were created for a class I took this fall. But creating images wasn't all I did! I also made a handmade book to put them in.
The original plan for the book was to title it "Silence", and I've kept it that way in my deviantART gallery; however, the title has since changed to "Sorrow & Relief", and I've written a poem to go with each picture.
